Leadership Assertiveness Training

Every tribe needs a great leader, but what makes a great leader? Surly, assertiveness would be at the top of the list not because it’s a beautiful trait in and of itself. But, it does have the power to magnify so many other leadership strengths. Assertiveness has gotten a bad reputation; some people with assertive qualities have been seen as disrespectful, annoying, and pushy.

But the difference is those people didn’t have the other qualities that make an effective leader. When an individual can find a balance between his assertive qualities and leadership abilities, he can significantly amplify his impact positively.

People with leadership and assertive qualities are highly valued by employers and the ones who start successful businesses. Brothers Helping Brothers will help you develop these essential skills. One of the most critical facets of leader mentorship is the honest dialogue about self-doubt – active sponsorship sustains that dialogue and progressively builds confidence and “the can-do” assertiveness to kick open the doors of success for yourself.

A boss says “go and make sure you do it”; a leader says “let’s go and make it happen.” Bosses control people; leaders involve them.

Domestic Violence Group

This group is dedicated to helping African American males, whose anger has spilled over into their relationships–resulting in domestic violence. All too often domestic violence goes unchecked, African American women typically comprised about 70% of black congregations. Religious convictions, shame, fear, or rejection from the church– may contribute to them, remaining in an abusive relationship.

As a result of historical and present-day racism, African American women may be less likely to report her abuser or to seek help because of discrimination the African American male faces–due to police brutality and negative stereotyping.

African American men are less likely to seek help for domestic violence issues due to the stigma of mental health support. Brothers Helping Brothers offer a safe and non-judgmental place, where we can work and grow together.

Brothers Helping Brothers want to help you rediscover and understand what you and your significant other have to gain from your participation–more love, respect intimacy, and satisfaction in your domestic relationship.
